After a few trades, the Falcons have made their third selection on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft. With the 152nd overall pick, in the fifth round, the Falcons selected RB Qadree Ollison from Pittsburgh.
The new offensive staff clearly wanted a big back. With Ollison (225 pounds) and all the offensive line additions, short yardage situations should look completely different from the last few years.

The 22-year-old out of Pitt is one of the biggest running backs in the 2019 NFL Draft. Coming in at 6’2, 225 pounds, Ollison adds depth to the Falcons rushing attack.
Qadree Ollison is a strong, powerful runner who is patient in allowing holes to open up. If the Falcons need it, he can also be used in split back formations, and double as a lead blocker. At the NFL Combine, Ollison ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds, had 19 bench reps, and had 7.53 seconds on the 3 Cone Drill.
