Folks, we made it. The 2019 NFL Draft kicks off tonight, and as it stands, the Atlanta Falcons have the 14th pick. Whether they stay, move up, or (less likely) move down, they’ll make at least one selection tonight, and that pick is likely to be the most impactful one they make.
Where the Falcons will go is less clear. They’ve been linked to a raft of top offensive linemen, especially at tackle, and that makes sense given that right tackle is Ty Sambrailo and reserves at the moment. They’ve also been tied to top defensive linemen at both end and tackle, which is sensible given the team’s lack of long-term elite talent there. And they’ve also been linked to cornerback, which makes sense primarily because Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff love cornerbacks.
Join us as we wait to find out who the Falcons will be selecting.

Or not! We got a little tied up with Chris Lindstrom.
Here’s the big news: The Falcons used the #14 pick on Lindstrom, a Boston College guard who will play the same position in Atlanta.
Top pass rusher Montez Sweat (Washington, 26) and Brian Burns (Carolina, 16) are off the board, as are the consensus top defensive tackles minus Jeffery Simmons. Most of the better tackles are also gone, meaning there’s a strong chance we see a cornerback coming to Atlanta in the second round.
