Greetings Falcoholics, I’m back with another Fan Spotlight to highlight a fellow Falcons fan for the week.
This week’s Fan Spotlight is on Tim Williams. He’s a husband, dad, and now a grandfather of two wonderful little boys. He was born and raised in the South, and when he was 10 years old, he wrote to every NFL team asking them for stickers. The first team that responded to Tim would be the team he cheered for. The Atlanta Falcons responded first, beating the Dallas Cowboys by one day. His family moved to Atlanta (from Nashville) when he was 17, and he’s lived there since then. Tim’s a freelance illustrator, as many of you have probably seen his illustrations on Twitter. So, without further ado, let’s get to know Tim Williams.

Who is your favorite Falcons player of all-time?
Running back William Andrews is my favorite Falcons player of all-time. I always enjoyed the way that guy played. He was a beast.

Favorite Falcons memory?
This happened at a game that I actually attended. Craig “Ironhead” Heyward was running the ball. As a defender approached, Ironhead jumped up and drop-kicked the defender in the chest! Heyward got a 15-yard penalty for it, but it was awesome. I stood up in my seat and yelled “My God! He just Jackie Channed that guy!”

Any specific thoughts on the upcoming 2019 season?
The Falcons must seriously invest in restocking their lines. You can have the best skill position players in the league, but they’re wasted assets if you’re consistently losing your battles at the line of scrimmage.
Thoughts on Dan Quinn so far?
I like Dan Quinn, even if he has stolen my look...Heh heh. He’s obviously a much better motivator than an X’s and O’s guy. In the end, I still believe he’s the right guy for the job.

Most prized Falcons merchandise possession?
Years ago, I was part of a group that was a Falcons fans charity. We held different events where we would invite former players to speak to us. We charged admittance and donated the proceeds to charitable causes. I did some artwork of quarterback Steve Bartkowski. Steve signed a print for me. That’s my coolest Falcons thing that I have. Bart’s a very cool guy.
