Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a scary injury in the third quarter of the Falcons’ home matchup against the Panthers in Week 14. Ridley looked visibly woozy, then collapsed prior to being carted off the field.
Ridley was ruled out for the remainder of the game. On Monday, Ridley announced that the injury will sideline him for the rest of the 2019 season, but he expects to return in 2020.
Ridley was having himself a day prior to injury. He was the leading receiver on the day up to that point, with five catches for 76 yards and quite possibly the most delightful touchdown of the entire season.

Olamide Zaccheaus took over as the leading receiver shortly after Ridley exited the game thanks to a 93-yard touchdown pass from Matt Ryan. The Falcons are currently leading the Panthers 30-10 in the third quarter.
Ridley finishes his second NFL season with 63 receptions for 866 yards and seven touchdowns.
