I knew this before the season and Ideas going into

All I heard from people who were either fans that were super optimistic or didn't follow the team closely enough was how for the past two years, the Falcons are supposedly loaded with talent, but were somehow underachieving. Exactly WHAT talent are these people referring to? Bustley needs no introduction, Takk and Campbell were way overhyped by Q-Ball and TD, the o-line is still suspect, and Freeman's contract is looking like a really bad investment and will likely go down as one of the worst in team history along with the likes of Peerless Price, Ray Edwards, Jeff George, and Stephen Jackson. Whether you like it or not, Ryan is about to turn 35 this offseason and is on a decline, Truf is inconsistent and I don't know what the heck happened to Deebo. Julio probably has 2 years of his prime left in him when you consider all of the foot injuries he has had. Further, there is absolutely zero depth on this roster what so ever. Quinn is way in over his head and has no clue on what he is doing, while TD and Blank are as complacent as they get. Reality is, this team is not as talented as people said they are. This team is made up of a 7-8 win roster being led by a 2-3 win coaching staff, and complacent leadership. Put all three together and you get what we have now: a flat-out dysfunctional organization from top to bottom. We thought 2016 was the start of something special and that Q would be here for a very long time. Turns out, the man truly responsible for the Super Bowl run is out West and that Quinn was never NFL material. Now, it's time to blow the whole thing up. This offseason, we are going to see lots of change. Although I don't trust Blank to do it, Quinn will likely be fired at season's end. I believe that TD will get one more year. His future will be decided by the moves he makes during the offseason, the draft, and how the team fares next year. Here's the best case scenario moving from here:

1. As we all know, the Falcons are currently sitting at 3-9 and out of the playoffs for the second year in a row. The best case scenario would be to sit Matt and Julio for the remainder of the season and tank to 3-13 and possibly enough to end up with the #2 overall pick in this year's draft. The Bengals are like going to take Burrow with the number 1 pick, putting us in a prime position to take arguably the best player in this year's draft: Chase Young.

2. This offseason: Create more cap space by cutting the following- Bustley, Clayborn, and campbell. We will trade Free, Takk, and one more piece for a first rounder. We will then trade Jake Matthews, a third rounder from this year, and a second rounder from next year to a playoff team for their first round pick. That way we will have three first round picks.

3. Coaching staff: HC- I would like to see either Jim Harbaugh if he ends up leaving Michigan or Eric Beniemi at the helm. Mike McCarthy would be a very good option as well. If we are going to go the defensive route for the third HC in a row, lets see if we can try to get Rober Saleh- 49ers DC. Knowing Blank's incompetence, he will choose the most unqualified person possible to be the HC and put this team in shambles. Anyways, at offensive coordinator, even though I will get a lock of heat for saying this, but we should go with Jason Garret. For those who have followed football long enough, he was the former OC for Dallas before eventually being promoted to head coach and actually did a good job. At defensive coordinator, the best move, in my opinion, would be to see what Jeff Ulbrich can do. As we saw with the NOLA and Carolina games, he has some potential to be a very good coordinator when given the helm.

4. Free Agency- we need to make sure we find a way to resign Hooper. To replace Freeman, I would sign Kareem Hunt to a 2 year deal. Bud Dupree, Marcus Peters, and Yannick Ngakoue are all free agents and signing one of those three would be nice if TD is willing to. Dupree is a quality LB, a major upgrade from Campbell, and would pair up well with Deion, if he doesn't continue to regress like he has this season.

5. The draft- I believe that how we draft will ultimately decide TD's fate as a GM. Remember, from the trades listed above, we have three first round picks. With our second overall pick, we do the no brainer and take Chase Young at number 2, pairing him up with Grady. With our next first rounder, we will take LT Andrew Thomas out of UGA to replace Matthews. For our third pick, we will go defense once again and take CB Trevon Diggs out of Alabama.

6. What's next? With a hopefully improved O-line, revamped defense, and a new coach, all eyes are on Number 2. If he continues to regress next season, we just have to hope that we are bad enough or able to trade up and take arguably the best QB coming out in 2021: Justin Fields. From that point, we just have to see what happens.

Well, some of this may seem unrealistic with TD and Blank at the Helm but these are my thoughts. What are your thoughts on how we should approach the future?
