Welcome to Tuesday, Falcoholics! It’s a lot like Monday, with a dash of Wednesday thrown in the mix. You’ve officially made it to the final month of our season. Like those strange “joggers” I see aimlessly running here and there from time to time, the Falcons are staggering toward the finish line.
Links: they’re what’s for dinner.
With only 4 games left to play, it’s time for the coaching staff to focus on getting some of the younger, less seasoned members of the 53-man roster some regular season snaps. Like it or not, we have to start thinking ahead to next season. And that includes making sure opportunities for development don’t slip through the cracks. One player in desperate need of snaps is Chris Lindstrom, who the Falcons designated for return yesterday. (The Falcons also activated Matt Bosher.)
If the season ended today, the Falcons would pick 5th overall in next April’s draft. This news should excite you. If it doesn’t, please see a doctor immediately.
That begs an important question: how many additional wins should we anticipate in 2019?
Flowery Branch is a tumultuous place right now, but truth be told, the entire NFC South is headed for a transitional period. The leadership and composition of all four teams may look a lot different as early as next year. Speaking of the NFC South, how’d it fair in Week 13?
