The Falcons are running into trouble against Jameis Winston today, given that he keeps making very sharp throws against Atlanta’s secondary. That situation is not going to be improved by Kendall Sheffield being out, but they now need to play without him.
The Falcons are quiet thin at cornerback now with Jordan Miller suspended and Sheffield out.
Kendall Sheffield has been downgraded to out. The rookie cornerback won't return.

Sheffield was far more impressive as a rookie than we might’ve suspected, which bodes well for 2020 and beyond. He’s had to start several games in 2019 and has shown good physicality, athleticism, and coverage, even if there has been the occasional blown play. Chances are he’ll be no worse than the team’s #3 cornerback in 2020, and I think he genuinely will be even better going forward.
We hope the injury is a short term one and Sheffield is ready in time for the summer.
