It wasn’t an impressive win per se, but there are some positives going into next season.

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

They did it! The Falcons finally did it! For the first time in nearly a millennia, they managed to beat an AFC Team. They did so in fairly convincing fashion as they beat up on the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that may also be going through significant changes this off-season. Evan Birchfield and I are here to relieve the victory as we discuss Atlanta’s performance. Topics include:

  • The continued great play of the offensive line and why Kaleb McGary and Chris Lindstrom could be a fantastic duo for a long time
  • The concerning play at left guard and why Atlanta needs to give a shot to Matt Gono instead of playing guys like Wes Schweitzer
  • Julio Jones - he’s good
  • Russell Gage quietly being a good fit at WR3 and why that shouldn’t be overlooked
  • The great game from Devonta Freeman and Brian Hill on the ground
  • Grady Jarrett - he’s also good
  • The dramatic improvement of the defense over the second half of the season
