Julio Jones continues to dazzle the NFL with his receiving prowess — in Week 16’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars he reached the 12,000 career receiving yards mark in fewer games than anyone else in league history.
Jerry Rice had previously achieved the mark in 142 career games. Julio Jones reaches the milestone in his 125th career appearance — an incredible 17 games faster than the Hall of Famer.

Last week Jones surpassed Jerry Rice in most receiving yards recorded through a player’s first nine seasons, moving into second place on that all-time list. This week he not only broke the 12,000-yard plateau, but he also passed Torry Holt into first place on that list as well.
Jones came into Week 16 with 1,150 receiving yards this season. He looks to extend his NFL-record streak of 1,400+ yard receiving seasons to six with a strong finish to the campaign. Julio set that record at five last season.
