Inactives are in for the second-to-last game of Atlanta’s season, and the names on the list won’t surprise anyone.
The Falcons have once again parked Jamon Brown. With James Carpenter on injured reserve and Brown simply not active, we don’t need to say any more about how badly the free agent guards have worked out for Atlanta. Given how difficult it is to get out of Brown’s contract next year, we’ll hope he and the team can get things squared away in the offseason so he can contribute again.
None of the other names are surprises. The Falcons will be a tiny bit thin on the offensive line with Brown, Sean Harlow, and John Wetzel out, so let’s hope they stay healthy. Deadrin Senat is back to inactive with Allen Bailey back, and Austin Larkin, Jordan Miller, and Brandon Powell apparently need significant injuries in front of them to get real playing time.
The Falcons are playing as close to full strength as they can be at this point in the year, so we’ll see how today goes.
