Three games on a Saturday, so the NFL can really take over your weekend.

Thursday Night Football is gone, replaced for a brief shining moment by Saturday football. It brings me back to being a kid, when you could sometimes actually catch games on Saturdays. Of course, bread was a nickel and you “watched” it on the radio, but that was a small price to pay.

There are three games for you to watch today, if you’re so inclined, starting with an NFC South team facing off against the team that most badly embarrassed the Falcons earlier this year. The 1 p.m. time slot brings us Buccaneers-Texans, and Tampa Bay is going to be suiting up three wide receivers and hoping to pass like crazy against a suspect Houston secondary. Because I’d like them to pick after the Falcons, I wish them luck.

The 4:30 game will be a great one, as it’s Bill-Patriots. That’ll pit two wheezy offenses against two very good defenses in a matchup I’m hoping Buffalo can win, because it would be great to see another team win the AFC East.

Finally, the 8:15 game pits the Rams against the 49ers. As a big fan of the Saints not getting a first round bye, I’m very pro-Packers, Vikings, 49ers and Seahawks the rest of the way, so go San Francisco.

Enjoy the games right here!
