Hey Falcoholics! Our Atlanta Falcons traveled west to take on the San Francisco 49ers, and the game was absolutely insane, in a good way. Just in case you missed the game or you’d just like to read some tweets, Twitter has you covered! Let’s recap the game.
Falcons would receive the ball first, as they have the past six games.
#Falcons will receive.
— D. Orlando Ledbetter (@DOrlandoAJC) December 15, 2019
..and they would punt.
The #Falcons 18th punter on the year had a nice punt but it rolls into the endzone
— Looking towards 2020 DW (@FalcoholicDW) December 15, 2019
The 49ers would go 3 & out thanks largely to a Vic Beasley sack!
Got em'!
— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 15, 2019
Beasley gets his 7th sack of the season! pic.twitter.com/WJ5qr5aO3J
Can we talk about how it's 0-0 after the first quarter? I was honestly expecting 14-3, SF at the end of Q1.
— Justin Scott Miller (@JSMiller7492) December 15, 2019
They would then punt it back to San Francisco, which they’d drive down field and score on a Raheem Mostert rushing touchdown. 0-7.
The Falcons would answer back with a Julio Jones touchdown, his first in 9 games. 7-7.
There! Now they can shut up about Julio Jones not having a touchdown for 9 games. #Annoying
— Evan Birchfield (@EvanBirchfield) December 15, 2019
Julio casts magic missile
— The Season'sendoholic (@TheFalcoholic) December 15, 2019
Julio TD. Finally!
— Kevin Knight (@FalcoholicKevin) December 15, 2019
Making it look easy. TOUCHDOWN JULIO. pic.twitter.com/lxmWrWXGtG
— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 15, 2019
The Falcons are really giving it to Kyle Shanahan, proving that literally any idiot can throw it to Julio Jones and score touchdowns.
— FalconsAreUnstoppableoholic Matt (@FalcoholicMatt) December 15, 2019
After the 49ers were forced to punt again, the Falcons took the lead with a Younghoe Koo field goal! 10-7.
It's true for KOOOOOO!
— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 15, 2019
Younghoe hits the 43-yd FG!

why are you giving me hope? #Falcons
— Aaron Freeman (@falcfans) December 15, 2019
And then Julio surpassed Jerry Rice for most receiving yards in the first 9 seasons of an NFL career.

HALFTIME, 10-10.
Halftime at 10-10. Not a perfect effort but a genuinely impressive one so far
— The Season'sendoholic (@TheFalcoholic) December 15, 2019
After a series of punts, the referees decided to step in and ruin the game. Grady Jarrett had a great sack, which was of course flagged for some reason.
That’s worse than the Clayborn one.
— Aaron Freeman (@falcfans) December 15, 2019
Hey @NFL YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY TRASH
— Looking towards 2020 DW (@FalcoholicDW) December 15, 2019
What?
— Kurt Benkert (@KurtBenkert) December 15, 2019
After a long drive by the 49ers, they fumbled it!

— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 15, 2019
The #Aints gave up 40+ points to these 9ers
— ThePoolTableGuy (@ProBilliards1) December 15, 2019
After a strong defensive stand, the Falcons forced a punt but Kenjon Barner fumbled it on the return. The 49ers would score because.. that’s life as a Falcons fan. 10-19.
49ers will be up two scores now. Bad calls certainly a piece of it but the Falcons just squandered too many chances, again.
— The Season'sendoholic (@TheFalcoholic) December 15, 2019
They do have time to make it happen, if they can dig deep
The @49ers recover the muffed punt inside the 5! #GoNiners

If the Falcons lose, they get a better draft pick, so it’s like they win either way?
— Cory Woodroof (@CoryWoodroof47) December 15, 2019
The Falcons wouldn’t quit! Qadree Ollison would score from the goal line, narrowing the 49ers lead to 17-19.
The @AtlantaFalcons cut it to two! #InBrotherhood

Honestly, the last two minutes were nuts. The Falcons moved their way downfield and it appeared like Austin Hooper scored to give the Falcons the victory, but a review said it was incomplete.
— Kevin Knight (@FalcoholicKevin) December 16, 2019
This is more drama than we've seen most of the season.
— Jeff Schultz (@JeffSchultzATL) December 16, 2019
They had another try and JULIO SCORED!!!!!! 23-22 FALCONS!!!
JULIO SCORED
— Rise Up Reader (@RiseUpReader) December 16, 2019
NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT ONE!
— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 16, 2019
TOUCHDOWN JULIO! pic.twitter.com/JAeuwHL9RE
OMG WE BEAT KYLE SHANAHAN LMAOOOOOOOO
— Evan Birchfield (@EvanBirchfield) December 16, 2019
With a few seconds remaining, the Falcons would kick the ball and the 49ers would lateral it basically into the endzone for the Falcons to score again. Falcons win 29-22!!!
— Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) December 16, 2019
Falcons were the 10 point underdogs coming into the game. Falcons beat 49ers 29 to 22 the final. https://t.co/ZAMDd9bTrS

Also, ball doesn’t lie?

FINAL: The @AtlantaFalcons win on a last-second TD! #ATLvsSF #InBrotherhood pic.twitter.com/k3ohFgFrM9

Well that does it, folks. The Falcons somehow left San Fransisco with a W and improved their record to 5-9.
