The biggest names for the Falcons were ruled out on Friday, with James Carpenter and Allen Bailey ruled out. Isaiah Oliver was the only player with a questionable designation, but Dan Quinn said he expected the second-year corner to suit up.

Everyone outside of Carpenter and Bailey are coaching decisions.

The other inactives are WR Brandon Powell, DE John Cominsky, LB Ahmad Thomas, G Jamon Brown, and T Ty Sambrailo.

The biggest news? DEADRIN SENAT IS BACK, BABY! We have been critical that the team has not only sat on a third-round defensive tackle all season after an impressive rookie season, but also for refusing to get any game film for the next head coach to evaluate. Quinn’s eventual replacement may need to decide on Senat before training camp.

We are finally seeing more of Matt Gono. Fans have been irked when Quinn and offensive line coach Chris Morgan talked up Gono but refused to let him play. He got meaningful snaps at guard against the Carolina Panthers and looked far better than any of the team’s high-priced free agents.

The 49ers were heading into the game down a number of starters, ruling out DT D.J. Jones, DE Dee Ford, CB Richard Sherman, S Jaquiski Tartt, and DT Jullian Taylor on Friday. They ruled out QB C.J. Beathard and WR Jordan Matthews before the game.
