Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman practice in full; James Carpenter and Allen Bailey DNP

We were starting to get worried.

With both Calvin Ridley and Desmond Trufant heading to injured reserve this week, the Falcons need everyone else at full strength if they want to limit their embarrassment in San Francisco. Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones had been limited or out this week, which could leave Atlanta in a bad situation with Russell Gage as the team’s top wide receiver and Brian Hill as the bell-cow back.

Luckily, we do not have to worry about that.

Devonta Freeman (knee) and Julio Jones (shoulder) returned to full participation on Friday. We have the early game report, with only Isaiah Oliver (shoulder) as questionable. The Falcons desperately need Oliver back and in as the top corner. The depth behind him is not very strong outside of Kendall Sheffield. Players listed as questionable typically play if they do not suffer any setbacks.

In things that should not impact the game, Ty Sambrailo (hamstring), James Carpenter (concussion), and Allen Bailey (personal) have been ruled out. All three are depth, and not particularly competitive depth. The more concerning problem is Bailey, who has been out with a personal issue for two weeks. Dan Quinn has refused to give an update on the specifics, but we obviously hope all is well for him.

Stay tuned for the inactives on Sunday, right about 90 minutes before kickoff.
