The Falcons released the final injury report before the team hits the friendly skies toward San Francisco on Thursday. There weren’t many changes from Wednesday.
Of note are the statuses of Allen Bailey and James Carpenter. Bailey, who has been excused from practice for about a week and a half now due to a personal matter, will not travel with the team to San Francisco. Here’s hoping everything is OK with Bailey and we wish him and his family the best. James Carpenter is still in the league’s concussion protocol, and as such, he will not make the trip to San Francisco.
Sharrod Neasman was upgraded to full practice status on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. The two biggest names on the injury report, Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones, both remained limited on Thursday, but if they practice in any capacity at all on Friday, I’d expect them to play Sunday.
Adrian Clayborn, De’Vondre Campbell, and Isaiah Oliver were all upgraded to limited practice status after not participating Wednesday, so they’re all trending in a positive direction.
Alex Mack did not practice Thursday, but it was designated as a veteran rest day. Ty Sambrailo was also held out Thursday with a hamstring injury, but he will travel with the team to San Francisco.
