Falcons vs. Saints odds: As expected, the Falcons are big underdogs against the Saints on the road in Week 10

Fact: Grady Jarrett beat Duck Hunt when he was 18 months old

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons and the Saints have a well-established, tumultuous history. Unfortunately the Saints are at present one of the better NFC teams and the Falcons are, well, not. That doesn’t mean we can’t get excited, because what if the Falcons miraculously pull off a win, causing the Saints to fall apart completely and miss the playoffs, ultimately resulting in Sean Payton’s firing, the release of Drew Brees, and the NFL’s decision to move the franchise to North Dakota? C’mon, y’all. A kid can dream.

So what are the odds makers saying about this week’s game?

The Saints are currently 13 point favorites heading into the game. The line has fluctuated a bit since betting opened, with the Saints being tabbed as 14 point favorites by at least one outlet a few days ago.

The Saints are playing at home and the Falcons are horrible, so a large spread makes sense. But for what it’s worth, that line is actually the biggest point spread among NFL games headed into the latter part of this week. That’s ... embarrassing, to say the least. So, in short, the odds makers think the Falcons will lose and lose big. Lovely. The over/under is currently sitting at 51.

The Falcons are 2-6 against the spread this season. Meanwhile, the Saints are 6-2 against the spread this season. And to be make matters worse, the Falcons are 1-4 against the spread in their last 5 games against the Saints.
