NFL: OCT 27 Seahawks at Falcons

The Falcons limp out of the bye week at 1-7 with a road tilt against the New Orleans Saints on deck for Sunday. Yikes.

Here’s Falcoholinks to start your Monday morning.

Dan Quinn job security tracker

It’s Monday morning after the bye, and Dan Quinn is still employed by the Atlanta Falcons. Quinn will likely be employed elsewhere to start 2020, but as it stands this morning Arthur Blank is still in “wait and see” mode in regards to DQ’s future.

Grady deserves better

Grady Jarrett has been a constant on this defense since he entered the league in 2015, and his elite level of play has continued in spite of the awful performances around him. The Falcons must provide Jarrett with a better defense around him in 2020, lest they waste yet another stellar year from one of the best interior defenders in the game.

Midseason awards

With half of a horrible season in the books and the Falcons on a bye, we thought it prudent to toss out a few midseason awards. Who has been tops for Atlanta’s offense through eight games, and who has looked the least bad on defense? How about the team MVP?

And considering the sideways nature of the first half of the year, what takes home the honors for most WTF moment so far?

Special podcast alert

Falcoholic scribe and Falcoholic Podcast co-host David Walker dropped a special edition of The Falcoholic Podcast this weekend, examining PFF’s ratings for Atlanta’s offense through eight games. Be sure to give it a listen right here!
