Falcons bringing back old midfield logo and end zone style

Throwing it all the way back on Thanksgiving.

For the third time this season, the Atlanta Falcons will be wearing their throwback uniforms. However, this time will be even more special as the midfield logo and end zone font will also be thrown back.

That’s the term, right?

As a lifelong fan, I’m thrilled. This has been something I’ve hoped the team would do every time they wore throwback uniforms. They used the black end zone with red font style throughout the 1990s in the Georgia Dome, at least from what I can remember. At my first ever Falcons game when I was 6 years old in 1996, they had that look and it was something I always loved (and that’s my personal photo below). It looks great on television and I’m sure fans will enjoy seeing the old style back.

Whether the cosmetics of the field will empower the Falcons to sweep the New Orleans Saints is still in question. Regardless of whether we win or lose, enjoy whatever you have planned for your Thanksgiving!
