Things once again are looking grim heading into a game against the Saints. It ended well last time, and I’m hoping the Falcons can manage one more big surprise before they collapse under their own weight.

New Orleans will want revenge after the Falcons embarrassed them 26-9 in their own stadium, as you’d expect. Atlanta’s going to want to prove that they have gotten things ironed out and the Buccaneer game was just an example of a division rival playing near the height of their powers, and they’re going to want to be able to say they at least beat up on the NFC South in a lost 2019 season.

It won’t be easy, because the Saints have now seen the Falcons this year and will be revenge-minded. Atlanta has shown they have the talent to dig deep and come up with some compelling efforts, so let’s hope they have one more in them. If not, it’s going to be a long, miserable night when we’re all full of turkey.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints, Week 13

When: Thursday, November 28, 8:20 p.m. EST

Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia

Channel: NBC

Announcers: Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Michele Tafoya

Streaming: NBC

Radio: 92.9 The Game

Key Questions: Can the Falcons rebound from an ugly loss to win in the only game that matters for the rest of the season? Will the defense be able to hold Drew Brees in check on a short week? Will Atlanta be able to get the ground game going, even a little?

Prediction: Falcons win, 28-27
