Falcons vs. Buccaneers inactives: Takk McKinley is good to go

New, comments

We now know the defensive end’s status for today’s tilt.

The Falcons promoted defensive end Austin Larkin from the practice squad as a preemptive measure in case Takkarist McKinley was unable to play as he recovers from a shoulder injury. With the inactives just released, we now know that Takk will indeed play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while Larkin is also active.

As expected, Austin Hooper and Devonta Freeman are both still out with their respective injuries. Matt Gono and Deadrin Senat have been banished to the inactive list, so there’s no shock that either will not play this afternoon.

Cornerback Kendall Sheffield, who missed practice this week due to illness, will suit up.

Defensive end John Cominsky, safety Kemal Ishmael, and wide receiver Brandon Powell round out the rest of the inactives for the Atlanta Falcons.

For the Bucs, linebackers Kahzin Daniels and Anthony Nelson will miss today’s contest, along with offensive tackle Jerald Hawkins, tight end Jordan Leggett, cornerbacks M.J. Stewart and Mazzi Wilkins, and guard Aaron Stinnie.
