Sean Harlow made his way back to the Falcons roster for one brief, glorious moment, even getting in for one snap on offense against the Panthers. The life of the last offensive lineman on the roster is not a glamorous one, however, and it appears Harlow has been waived.
The move hasn’t been confirmed by the team yet, but come our way via two different third party sources. I’m sharing them both because they make Sean Harlow look like he just saw Boromir die in the Lord of the Rings.

Harlow is still just 24 years old and the team’s depth on the interior figures to be shaky after this season, so I don’t think he’s gone just yet. I expect if he clears waivers—which again, I expect—he’ll be back on the practice squad next week. I think Atlanta would like to have him in the picture next spring and summer to compete for a spot.
The move raises questions about who might be coming in from the practice squad to take a spot. With Takk McKinley questionable, chances are good it’ll be someone like Austin Larkin, a defensive lineman the team can add to its rotation as they try to rattle Jameis Winston. We should know soon enough.
