2020 Falcons Salary Cap woes

According to Spotrac, the Falcons are over the estimated 2020 cap by over $1M. Keep in mind, the team has less than 45 players under contract for 2020.

By my estimates, not counting any of the following as post June 1st cuts and accepting all of the deadcap as of beginning of league year. They can gain about $30M in cap space. Here's my thoughts:

1. Restructure Ryan's base salary from $20M to $5M by converting $15M into bonus. This will raise his restructuring bonus number from $1.75M to $5.5M but dropping his cap number from $33.5M to $22.5M.

2. Releasing Trufant, Freeman, Bailey, Sambrailo & Schaub will free up about $19M in cap room.

Now that also leaves no kicker, no punter, 3 LB, 2 DE, & 2 RB, so they will need players. A lot of them.
