The Falcons are 1-4 and there’s no light at the end of this tunnel. The Texans embarrassed the Falcons during the 3rd and 4th quarters of today’s loss, putting a total of 53 points on the board. We’ll break down the loss and try to chart a path forward in the days ahead. But for now, let’s break down some injuries!

Damontae Kazee sustained a head injury during the first half of today’s game. He was evaluated for a concussion. If you recall, he’d been dealing with an illness of some sort all week. Kazee’s injury got Kendall Sheffield some snaps on defense.

Austin Hooper injured his leg during the third quarter. He came back into the game and logged a catch, which must mean the injury wasn’t all that serious in the first place. This is good news, given that Hooper has been one of Matt Ryan’s favorite targets this season.

Last but certainly not least, the Falcons’ playoff hopes took a nasty hit during the second half of today’s game. They were seen lying on the ground, writhing in pain, drool trickling out of their mouth. The Falcons playoff hopes sat on the sideline for the remainder of the game, looking dejected and confused.

All in all, the Falcons made it through today’s loss relatively unscathed. If there’s a silver lining, that’s it.
