Do any of us think the Falcons are going to win? As it turns out, just one bold and brave man.
Falcons 27 - Texans 17
Call me crazy, or call me a delusional homer (which, to be fair, I am), but I can see this team breaking out of their funk on Sunday. Dan Quinn has to be feeling the urgency of the situation. And his players are clearly sick of the team’s current trajectory. Maybe they will come out just angry enough to pull this off. - James Rael
Falcons 17 - Texans 35
I’m not in the habit of predicting losses for the Falcons, much less blowouts, yet this season feels eerily like 2014 - Mike Smith’s last as head coach. The offense looks lifeless and lacks creativity. Matt Ryan doesn’t look like his best self while guys like Calvin Ridley are apparently invisible to Dirk Koetter. The running game is garbage and the OL is still a mess, despite considerable investment in the off-season. The defense is only capable of doing one thing at a time - shut down the run, give up big passing yards for example - which is damning when your DC is also your head coach. I want this team to prove me wrong, but until they do, my faith is gone. - David Walker
Falcons 13 - Texans 32
There’s too much going against the Falcons. First, they are on the road. Second, the Texans are a very lethal team. Third, the Falcons are terrible. I have zero faith. - Matt Chambers
Texans 35 - Falcons 20
For some cruel reason, the Falcons always find themselves on a tough road game when things desperately need to be turned around. Unfortunately, this is against a talented Texans team that is a little upset at losing at home last week to Carolina. Nothing about this game or anything leading up to it puts confidence in me that the Falcons will steal one in Houston. This might get out of hand quickly. Don’t let the two score outcome fool you. I smell a late ‘who cares’ touchdown by Ryan and the offense. - Eric Robinson
Falcons 20 - Texans 24
I don’t think the Falcons are going to get the fluids kicked out of them, which I guess makes me an outlier here. I also don’t think they’re going to win, because there’s a lot working against them, including injuries along the offensive line, their putrid performances up to this point, and the fact that this is a road game against another team with a desperate coach on the hot seat. I do think they’ll find a way to dig deep and come up with a better overall performance. I just don’t think it’s going to be enough. - Dave Choate
