The Falcons have, somewhat predictably, elected to bring back punter Matt Wile with Matt Bosher unexpectedly on the shelf for Sunday.
Wile handled those duties capably while Bosher was out last time, and with Bosher’s injury status seemingly ongoing, he may stick around longer this time. Hopefully his leg booms as it must.
With Matt Bosher (groin) out, the Falcons re-signed Matt Wile and released John Wetzel.

To make room for Wile, the team has released another man who is no stranger to bouncing on and off this Falcons roster. John Wetzel has been kicking around since the summer as a reserve offensive lineman with a lot of versatility, and chances are good we haven’t seen the last of him in Atlanta.
With Wetzel gone, though, the Falcons need to ensure they have enough healthy offensive linemen with Alex Mack banged up and Jamon Brown out. That means we’re likely to see not only Wes Schweitzer starting, but Matt Gono and Ty Sambrailo active in case things go awry.
