The Falcoholic staff picks Falcons vs. Texans and the rest of Week 5’s games

You probably won’t be shocked that our confidence in this team is shaken to its core.

NFL: Tennessee Titans at Atlanta Falcons Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Let’s not dwell on the fact that our entire staff was totally wrong about the Falcons last week. Instead, let’s focus on the fact that everyone but James is picking the Texans over Atlanta in Week 5.

You can hardly blame us. Atlanta looked flat and unprepared against the Titans, and that’s been enough of a constant this season that it’s hard to find any faith this team can get it done against anyone.

We’re all in agreement that the Pats will keep it going this week against Washington. We also universally believe the Ravens, Eagles, and Chargers come away with wins this week. Our staff is split on Bucs vs. Saints. I’d prefer a 0-0 tie, but since that’s unlikely, I wouldn’t mind seeing the Saints lose that one.

DW, Kevin, and I are all tied at the top of the leaderboard with records of 41-21-1, or a win percentage of 65 percent. Eric joined late, but he’s bringing up withe rear with a win percentage of 46.6 percent. James is just ahead of him with a win percentage of 50.8 percent.

Weigh in on your picks for this week’s games in the comments, and I’ll add Baxter’s picks on Sunday morning.
