There’s no sugarcoating it: The Atlanta Falcons are a terrible football team in 2019. It’s criminal to have the caliber of talent this team has and to squander it on this 1-6 disaster we’ve seen so far this season, but here we are.
If you look back at fan confidence prior to the start of the season, courtesy of SB Nation’s NFL FanPulse, it’s easy to remember those heady days when we all thought this team wouldn’t be an abject disaster.

Well, not anymore.

Clearly it’s past time to adjust our expectations. So what does the best case scenario look like for the Falcons over the rest of the 2019 season? Is it sweeping the Saints but losing everything else for the draft position? Is it firing Dan Quinn and getting someone new in here who can use this Falcons talent in an effective way? Is it winning out and Wild Card spot by sheer will alone? Is it this?
The best case scenario for the Falcons is definitely an asteroid impact to put everyone involved out of their misery.

Falcons Twitter shared their answers with me, and the most clever ones that won’t get us in trouble with the FCC will be featured on FOX 5 Atlanta’s Thursday Night Kickoff. You can watch the show live on FOX 5 Atlanta at 7 p.m. ET, or you can stream it on FOX 5 Atlanta’s website.
Weigh in with your best case scenario for this team in the comments.
