Devonta Freeman ejected from Rams game for punching Aaron Donald

Things continue to go poorly for the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons have shown little fight in this game, except for an actual fight. Devonta Freeman was ejected in the third quarter after an extended scuffle with Aaron Donald, one where he threw a punch.

The two were locked up after the play, leading to Donald lifting Freeman up off the ground like he was about to put him in timeout. Both teams got involved in the scrum, and Devonta decided to throw the right hook.

Both Aaron Donald and Devonta Freeman were flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, but only Devonta would be ejected.

The Falcons already lost Ito Smith to a head injury earlier in the contest, so with Devonta Freeman’s ejection they were down to just Brian Hill and Kenjon Barner in the backfield.

Things go from bad to worse for the Atlanta Falcons, who are on the verge of losing their fifth-straight game and falling to 1-6.
