Are you ready for some more Atlanta Falcons football?! Who are you kidding: Of course you are! It’s been an awful six weeks, and now the Falcons look to tick one into the win column against the Los Angeles Rams at home.
Here’s Falcoholinks for Thursday morning.
Rams on deck for Week 7
The 3-3 Los Angeles Rams are on tap Sunday in Atlanta, a talented team whose even record slightly betrays their ability. They made a bevy of moves on Tuesday, namely acquiring cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars. There’s a shot that he suits up against the Falcons, which will present some added challenges for Atlanta’s offense.
Ramsey is another addition to an extremely talented Los Angeles Rams defensive group, one that includes possibly the best player in the entire league in Aaron Donald.
The Falcons are unsurprisingly underdogs at home against the Rams, the line opening at +3. It’s actually somewhat shocking that the Rams are only 3-point favorites with the Falcons sporting a four-game losing streak.
Draft watch already?
We’re only heading into Week 7, but with a 1-5 record and looking like one of the worst teams in the NFL, it’s time to at least begin considering the Falcons’ draft position. Atlanta currently holds the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and should things consider to go as poorly as they have thus far, we can expect the team to move up.
IT BUUUUUURNS
Our Cory Woodroof’s latest edition of Burning Questions asks if these Atlanta Falcons will show any signs of life against the Los Angeles Rams. They have yet to put together a complete game of football, opting instead for come-from-behind attempts or positive takeaways from a quarter here or a quarter there. The Falcons are not a very good football team right now, and they will be dead in the water if they drop to 1-6 against LA.
The Falcoholic Live Ep. 88
Changes are on the horizon. Whether it’s merely Dan Quinn and his coaching staff or Thomas Dimitroff and other front office personnel, it seems that it’s a merely a matter of when and not if. Kevin Knight & Co. dive into these topics in the latest episode of The Falcoholic Live, which you can view right here if you didn’t catch the live broadcast on YouTube.
