Falcons vs. Cardinals: Who was the defensive player of the game?

I’ll be honest — there aren’t many good choices.

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

The Falcons defense is making this series frustratingly hard to write. Anytime I start writing, my mind devolves into a series of curse words and this article blurts out like a rambling mad man got a hold of a keyboard for 5 minutes.

Vote for one of these idiotic choices, because there aren’t many good ones at all. C’est la vie.

Tyeler Davison

He’s been a relatively good pick-up for the defense this year. And he dropped into coverage. Yes, you read that right. He dropped. Into. Coverage. Against the Cardinals. You can’t fault a guy for doing what he was asked to do. I guess he gets credit for doing his job?

Kyler Murray

The rookie QB finished the day completing 27 of 37 passes for 340 yards, 3 touchdowns, no interceptions and rushing for 32 additional yards. Honestly, the way things were going, it felt like he could have put up even bigger numbers than he did. So, thank you Kyler, for not blowing us out so badly that they’d prepare your bust at Canton, Ohio, after this game.

Dan Quinn

Dan, I really had faith in you. I thought you’d turn this defense around. Instead, it’s one of the worst in the league. Even worse than last year when you had a deluge of injuries to blame. So, thanks. Thanks for showing us that you clearly aren’t the one to right the ship. At least we know that moving on was the right decision. This game cemented it.
