Falcons injury report: Ricardo Allen and most of secondary dealing with injuries on Thursday

The hits keep coming. Just not from the defense on game days. After inexplicably giving up 53 points to a shaky Texans offense, the Falcons need to bounce back in a big way. That may be tough considering all the injuries in the secondary.

Per the official injury report, Ricardo Allen popped up as a limited participant due to a knee injury. Late-week additions to the injury report are always a bit worrisome, but considering he was still able to practice, he should be good to go. The bigger problem is Allen’s attempt to return to his pre-injury form further slowed due to injury.

Desmond Trufant, Blidi Wreh-Wilson, and Matt Wile all missed practice for a second day in a row. The Falcons added Sam Irwin-Hill to the practice squad earlier this week, suggesting Wile’s injury has a good chance of keeping him out of the game.

Julio Jones improved from not participating to getting a limited practice in after a hip injury. The injury is unlikely to hamper Jones, at least not as much as Dirk Koetter’s offense has been hampering him.

The Falcons may be in trouble against the Arizona Cardinals if the struggling secondary loses Trufant and Allen.
