One of the things I was most curious about in the wake of the Dirk Koetter hiring is how Falcons fans actually felt about bringing back the offensive coordinator from 2012-2014. After running a Twitter poll, it appears the answer is: Fine. Just fine.

With more than 4,500 responses, a plurality (47% as of the time of this writing) think Koetter is a fine hire, but aren’t jumping up and down over it. A quarter of those polled want to wait and see how Koetter fares in Atlanta before they decide how they feel. Just about 15% feel it’s a great move or a lousy one.
The lack of strong feelings is evident more or less across the spectrum, with a handful of former players, the actual Falcons, and a few hardcore fans getting very excited about the addition, while another minority of fans and analysts think he’s not the kind of hire that’s actually going to improve anything for Atlanta.
