Injuries are both understood and expected during the football season. The Atlanta Falcons have been spectacularly healthy, so we have been very worried.
Keanu Neal was working Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zack Ertz in the second quarter of the season kickoff, and seemed to go down with a non-contact injury. For reference, those are almost always the very worst injuries. Neal is a very important cog on defense without much of a replacement.
He’s very, very, very, important to this defense. Then he went to the dreaded trainer’s tent.
Luckily, he returned pretty quickly.
Keanu Neal put his helmet back on and looks ready to come back in soon.

We dodged a huge bullet. Neal avoided a major injury.
