Friends, we have made it. We have wandered through the desert, where the football did not fall from the sky like rain but instead pooled quietly and secretly beneath the dunes, and we have arrived at a great lake of NFL action. We spent months waiting for this day, and now that it is here, we must rejoice in it. We must drink deep of it.

The matchup is one of the toughest the Falcons will face all year, but that means it’ll temper this team better than starting off against one of the league’s lesser lights. The Eagles are banged up and without some of their very best players, but they remain the defending Super Bowl champions and one of the most balanced teams in the entire NFL. A victory tonight will be hard-fought and will tell us plenty about this Falcons team in 2018.

Here’s what you need to know tonight, plus our Twitter tracker. Please enjoy responsibly.
