The Atlanta Falcons have put the preseason and roster cuts in their rear view mirror, and the 2018 season opener is just days away. For the Falcons, it’s an opportunity to best the defending Super Bowl champions after they couldn’t last postseason, and to start off a promising season with a win against a great (if somewhat dented) team.
It’s a short week, but the Falcons are well-rested after they didn’t trot a single starter out there against the Dolphins in Week 4 of preseason. The Eagles won’t have multiple players, including starting QB Carson Wentz, while Atlanta’s remarkably healthy heading into the year. This is a key opportunity to show the rest of the league what the Falcons are made of, and I’m hopeful they can take advantage of it.
Here’s just the basics, sir or ma’am, to make sure you have your Thursday night cleared. We’ll have more details later in the week, but for now, prepare yourself for a late night.
