Hey, it’s one day closer to game day. Have a look at Thursday’s Falcholinks.
Wes Schweitzer assumes starting duties
Andy Levitre’s season-ending triceps injury was yet another tile to fall in this game of Devil’s Dominoes the Falcons have been playing on the health front. Levitre likely played his last snap for the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday, and in the three seasons he’s been with the team he’s proven a solid asset when fully healthy.
Third-year guard Wes Schweitzer assumed left guard duties in Levitre’s stead, and did an admirable job. He’s been praised for his progression at the position during training camp and the preseason, and now seems that it’s his job to lose.

Who would you swap?
A requisite feature here at The Falcoholic, Dave Choate would like to know who you would snag from the Saints given the opportunity or unfortunate luck. Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara — there’s a few guys on that team that would look real nice in red and black.
Fusco and Ito meet a Falcoholic
Our own Kevin Knight was on site during the Atlanta Falcons’ victory over the Carolina Panthers, and he had the opportunity to speak with new right guard Brandon Fusco and rookie running back Ito Smith. Get to know two of the newest Falcons.
Calf injury plague

Yeah it does — but it’s true! Calf injuries abound in the Atlanta Falcons locker room, and the player highlighting that list is Julio Jones. Julio didn’t exhibit any discomfort in Sunday’s win over the Panthers, so odds are it’s just an easy day off. But the calf injuries appear to be catching.
