Falcons LG Andy Levitre now out vs. Carolina with elbow injury

New, comments

Wes Schweitzer has replaced him for now.

UPDATE: The team announced Levitre and DE Derrick Shelby are now downgraded to out.

Original story follows:

Well, if this afternoon couldn’t get any worse, the Falcons will be without left guard Andy Levitre for now.

He’s questionable to return with an elbow injury, per The Falcoholic’s Kevin Knight.

Guard Wes Schweitzer will replace Levitre until he’s able to return. G Ben Garland is inactive, if you’re wondering.

Levitre had an elbow ailment in practice this week that left him limited but was able to play Sunday versus the Carolina Panthers.

We’ll keep you updated on his status as this one wears on. Obviously, it’s bad news for Atlanta if he can’t return. It’ll be on Schweitzer to get in gear and keep Matt Ryan clean against a stout Carolina front.
