Blidi Wreh-Wilson injured in meaningless preseason game

The Falcons corner was almost certainly making the roster, but now may be dealing with an injury.

NFL: Miami Dolphins at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The only thing we hope for in preseason is to keep our Atlanta Falcons healthy. So far, so bad. The Falcons are down 24-0 against the Miami Dolphins, and just saw Blidi Wreh-Wilson leave with an injury. Wilson went from a confusing signing to a surprisingly effective depth player.

The Falcons will obviously hope the injury is not bad, as it may otherwise force Isaiah Oliver into playing time before he is ready.

Here’s what happened to Wreh-Wilson, with most agreeing he appeared to injure his shoulder. Tyson Graham ran into Wreh-Wilson after a tackle, and Wreh-Wilson slowly walked off the field.

A bad case of friendly fire.

We are waiting on the official news about Wreh-Wilson, who will most certainly not return to finish off this meaningless game. The Falcons will need him back ASAP, as they start off the season Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
