The Atlanta Falcons are hoping to get solid performances out of their starting units in today’s preseason contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’re also hoping to avoid any untimely injuries with the regular season looming. The latter goal just went off the rails.
The Falcons took an early 3-0 lead. On the ensuing kickoff, Falcons rookie linebacker Foye Oluokun went down with an injury.

This is less than ideal news, given the promising offseason and preseason Oluokun has turned in. Per Vaughn McClure, he’s back on the field, so that’s good news.

We’ll see if Foye plays much the rest of the day, or if the Falcons take a cautious approach. Stay tuned.
