Most of us were very wrong last week about the Falcons, who put up a big fat nothingburger against the Jets in Week 1. But we’re back at it with our picks for Week 2, because we know that our readers are a fun-loving group of people who definitely love having a great time.
Atlanta takes on the Chiefs this week, and Andy Reid is planning on letting his offense, and particularly new starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes, get plenty of action. What remains to be seen is how much Atlanta’s starters will play. I’d be willing to bet that it won’t be much. Still, five of our eight pickers this week think the Falcons rebound from that disastrous* showing against the Jets and get the win this week. Feel free to publicly shame the other three.
Elsewhere around the league, we’ve got a Super Bowl 52 rematch Thursday night between the Eagles and Patriots. Give me a trick play to Tom Brady or I’m not interested. The Panthers face the Dolphins, the Saints have the Cardinals this week, and the Bucs take on the Titans. For our other marquee matchup this week (well, as marquee as a preseason game can get) we’ve got two playoff teams from last year, the Jaguars vs. the Vikings.
Here are our picks for this week’s games. Weigh in with your predictions in the comments.
