The Atlanta Falcons were guaranteed to make some sort of move after Friday night’s game against the Jets, and they did. It is just as low-impact as you might imagine.
The team has signed CB Ryan Neal and waived T Kendall Calhoun.

Calhoun’s stay with the Falcons was quite brief, as he joined up on July 30 and will now be looking for another team. He wasn’t a realistic option to push for the swing tackle role, and the Falcons still seem likely to carry just three tackles in 2018.
Neal is listed as a safety and joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent earlier this year, but Philadelphia released him earlier in the week. Neal will provide a little additional safety depth for the rest of the summer, but he’s unlikely to catch on for a team that has at least four solid safety options and only four or five roster spots for all of them.
Carry on with your day, friends.
