Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, one of the best players in the NFL, has been named one of, uh, one of the best players in the NFL by Pro Football Focus.

So, as you can see, he is very, very, very good at the football thing, only eclipsed by Tom Brady and Aaron Donald, arguably the best offensive and defensive players of this decade.

You can complain about the touchdowns, say gets hurt one too many times a season, or, egad, misses organized team activities, but the minuses begin to fade down the stretch when you realize how truly good Julio is at all of this, and how vital he is to Atlanta’s success.

You can’t say enough good about the guy; he’s one of the best players to ever grace a Falcons uniform, and already an Atlanta sports legend. He will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one of these days, and goodness, let’s hope he gets a ring at some point to go along with that.

Thomas Dimitroff changed the franchise when he popped those draft picks to Cleveland in 2011 to nab Jones and get him with the Birds, and it is one of the de-facto victories of his tenure. Jones is everything you want out of a football player, simply put, and we’re lucky to have him around.

We can’t wait to have him back with the team this coming week for June minicamp, and, yes, we’re all getting a little antsy to see the Jet back in action this fall.

But, for now, what an honor for Jones, who is, according to PFF, the third-best player in the NFL going into 2018.
