Atlanta’s never fully satisfied with their roster in the spring and summer, which explains why they’ve been working out offensive linemen again. Today’s choice is reportedly Jordan McCray, a former UCF offensive lineman who spent time with the Packers and Vikings and has yet to appear in an NFL game.
Obviously, McCray’s signing would knock someone else off the roster, if it happens. Also obviously, he’d have to be considered an extreme longshot to make the roster and would instead likely serve as a training camp reserve, with a chance to play well and earn himself a shot at a practice squad spot in Atlanta or a longer look elsewhere. The Falcons are currently loaded at guard, and unless McCray was coming to town to play center or guard, he’d be facing long odds due to numbers alone.

We’ll see if he winds up signing with Atlanta, and if he does, whether he makes things interesting for the more veteran options at the position this summer.
