What’s next on the Falcons offseason calendar?

Let’s see what the next interesting thing will be.

Rookie minicamp brought us news of Russell Gage’s positional versatility in camp, a few feel good story lines about how rookies were faring, and a sense that Calvin Ridley may get a legitimate shot at returner. Now, we must wait for something to happen again with the Falcons.

Thankfully, we’re less than two weeks away from the next milestone. The Falcons will be holding organized team activities (OTAs) on Monday, May 21 and again on Wednesday and Thursday, May 23 and 24. Those aren’t mandatory, so you won’t see every single Falcon there, but you will see enough of them that we can start to get some early ideas of what position battles will look like, and where some of the young guys might wind up playing.

From there, there’s a week until more OTAs from May 30, May 31, and June 1, plus a few more June 4-5 and June 7. That’s followed by mandatory minicamp from June 12-14, so we’re actually not all that far away from things picking up.
