Hello, Dirty Birds fans one and all, I’m The Falcoholic’s Cory Woodroof.

I’m excited to kick off the first season of my new Falcoholic podcast, Story Birds. This podcast is a new storytelling format that we’re hoping will add to the rich tapestry of what it means to be a part of the Falcons family.

We’ll be talking with current and former players and coaches, notable fans, those involved in covering the team and even the Falcoholic reader with quite a story to tell. We hope that this podcast will enlighten you to all the different stories that come with being a part of the Brotherhood.

Our first guest on Story Birds is Richard Browne. Browne turned the tragedy of losing his leg in a freak accident to achieving rare success as one of the world’s best Paralympic sprinters. Brown shares his inspiring story of overcoming obstacles and succeeding on the world’s grandest stage for Paralympians. Brown’s also a lifelong Falcons fan, so we’ll dive into his history with the team and his outlook for 2018 at the end of the episode.

So, without further ado, our conversation…

Follow Richard along on Twitter @winged_foot, and on Instagram at @winged_foot1, and wish him well as he continues to train for his upcoming competitions.

Be sure to let me know what you thought of the episode at my Twitter handle, @CoryWoodroof47, and tune in for future installments of Story Birds.

We’ll be back soon to continue our first season of the show.

Thanks for listening and Rise Up!
