2018 NFL Draft: Here’s what you need to know before the Falcons make their picks next month

One month away, so it’s time to start thinking about what’s next.

We’re actually less than a month away from the 2018 NFL Draft. This is very exciting, because free agency feels like it has already lasted forever and I am very tired of it.

It’s also a critical time of year because the Falcons are going to look to add a high-end starter at defensive tackle and cheap, talented depth to replace players who cost a little more. As the team prioritizes some major extensions for their gifted starters, finding that kind of depth—and potential future starters at positions of need—comes to matter a lot.

So with that in mind, let’s take a brief look forward at the draft schedule and the Falcons’ selections. Then let’s talk about who you want the Falcons to draft with those selections, if you please.
