The Atlanta Falcons only made it as far as the Divisional Round in 2017, but they head into next year with a capable roster, hopefully improved coaching, and the added incentive of possibly playing the game in their home stadium.
That’s why, depending on where you look, the Falcons are somewhere between 16/1 and 20/1 to win the Super Bowl in 2018. Via the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, the Falcons are 18/1 odds, which puts them seventh behind the Patriots, Steelers, Eagles, Vikings, Packers, and (ugh) Saints.

Notable, of course, is that there are only two AFC teams in the top ten here. That’s because the NFC has been the dominant conference in recent years, and the Patriots and Steelers are so far above the pack in the AFC that they’re the only logical choices
These odds will get updated a couple of times between now and the season, which means the Falcons may rise up (pun kinda intended) if they have a quality offseason and others falter. Notably, the Eagles have to make a decision with Nick Foles, the Vikings have a really big decision at quarterback, and the Rams and Saints will have to prove they weren’t one-year wonders, not that I think either one is.
Still, these odds seem fair, and we’ll hope the Falcons can beat them.
