2018 NFL Scouting Combine open thread, Day One: Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff speak

Today is the first official day of the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, when offensive linemen, running backs and special teamers will be weighing in. It’s also a media day for coaches and executives across the NFL landscape, including our very own Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitroff.

While I’m very interested to see how the offensive linemen stack up, given the extreme likelihood that the Falcons will draft at least one, it’s the commentary from the Falcons that I’m most interested in at the moment. Here’s the schedule for today:

Dan Quinn: 10 a.m. (now)

Thomas Dimitroff: 1 p.m.

What should you be looking for when these two talk? Primarily clues about where this team intends to go in free agency and the draft. The Falcons tend to keep those things pretty close to the vest, as you’d anticipate, but they do tend to talk about interesting position groupings and team needs a little more candidly than during the average interview.
