Hello, Falcoholics. I know it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted anything on this fine website. My day job keeps me pretty busy writing about the NFL as a whole. But now it’s the offseason, which means I actually have free time.
Free time, for me at least, means plenty of reading. And that’s why we’re starting something new this week at The Falcoholic. Welcome to The Falcoholic Book Club.
Between now and mid-July, we’ll be reading five football-themed books. This month we’re going to start with one that’s been on my list for a long time, and I haven’t gotten around to it: 100 Yards of Glory.
The book, by Joe Garner and Bob Costas (Joe Montana wrote the foreword) chronicles some of the biggest moments in NFL history. You can order the book here (it’s on sale, too) and if you have Amazon Prime, you’ll have it by Thursday. It seems like it’s not available for Kindle, but if you’re a digital book kind of person, you can get it on iBooks.
On March 6, I’ll share a post about the book with some discussion questions and everyone can talk about it in the comments. In the meantime, weigh in here with any thoughts you have on the book club and any suggestions you have for books we can read between now and training camp.
