The Falcons lost a completely meaningless game today. That said, it was truly painful to watch. One wonders what direction, if any, this team has right now. It’s hard to know where things go from here, but hey, look at the bright side: the Falcons first round draft pick stock is skyrocketing. In any case, there were injuries today, so let’s break ‘em down.
Matt Bryant’s back was bothering him coming into the game today. It was obviously affecting him during pre-game warmups but Dan Quinn let him try to kick a 53 yard field goal, which came up woefully short. That was Bryant’s first missed field goal this season.
Robert Alford left the game in the second quarter, getting replaced by Isaiah Oliver in what may be a sign of things to come. Alford was seen stretching on the sideline for a while and did eventually return.
Austin Hooper went down for a minute in the fourth quarter as well. He ultimately limped off the field without any assistance.
Nothing too crazy. Your thoughts?
